S

I saw this at my preferred Gardena corporate coffeehouse.

It's about that "S"....

I've been told in high schools, slightly after my time, this symbol became known as The Stoner 'S' (albeit, minutely altered), a symbol young cannabis aficionados could mark bathroom walls, desks and book covers with to identify with their clique. It seems to me to be derived from a typeface called Ironwood, which was made famous after appearing in the sleeve design of Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss album. But, perhaps an expert could chime in with a link or two via a comment regarding it's true history.

I thought it was funny how inappropriate it was used here. Obviously not a corporate design decision. But perhaps, if I read in to it and guessed at it's justification, it was a young employee approaching 18, expressing a 40 year old sentiment. But this application must look silly to both wings.
